How do I grout a slate tile floor? The tiles are uneven and pourous.?
I am concerned that the grout will be obsorbed by the tile and become very difficult to clean off. Any thoughts ?
Also, where the slate tiles are so uneven how do you grout to accomadate the variations?
Definately seal the tiles before grouting.. try not to get too much sealer between the tiles, that will effect grouting later. When you do grout, do not let the grout set at all on top of the tiles. Wipe it clean as soon as you do it, otherwise the grout is a new addition on top of your tiles. It will seem like you are wiping and washing forever, but you really must, and i wish there was an easier way, there just isn’t yet. Good luck!
